We already use something like ShareFile. Do we still need this?
ShareFile and similar tools are great for client document exchange over HTTPS. A VPN is
different: it gives your staff a secure, private tunnel into your internal network — file
servers, QuickBooks Desktop, on-prem apps, internal tools. If you have nothing internal,
you probably don’t need a VPN. If you do, you probably do.
Do we need new hardware or a new firewall?
Usually not. In most cases, we deploy a dedicated VPN endpoint in the cloud or alongside
your existing network, then configure secure routing. We’ll review your environment first
and keep it as simple as possible.
Is this complicated for our staff?
No. Staff install a small app, sign in, and click connect. Once connected, they work as if
they were in the office. We provide a short one-page guide and handle onboarding questions.
What if something breaks at 9pm during busy season?
For Standard and Business plans, we provide priority support and aim to resolve VPN issues
quickly. If you have specific hours or needs (e.g., tax season coverage), we can discuss a
tailored support arrangement.
